The second batch for the Work and Study in Ulsan (WSU) Master’s programme is now open!
The WSU programme is a prestigious graduate scholarship initiative jointly offered by the University of Ulsan (UOU) and the Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology (UNIST) — South Korea’s leaders in industry-linked and science-based education.
Successful applicants will pursue a 2-year fully funded Master’s degree, along with Korean language training and opportunities for paid research in Ulsan — Korea’s innovation and manufacturing capital.
Programme Structure
- Korean Language Education: 100 hours of evening classes (twice a week)
- Industry-Linked Master’s Programme: 2 years full-time
- UOU-UNIST Joint Degree Opportunity (based on eligibility)
These programmes are hosted by the Specialised Graduate Schools within UOU and focus on technologies shaping the future of sustainability and energy.
Scholarship & Financial Support
- Full Tuition Waiver
- Free Dormitory Accommodation (includes meals)
- Living Allowance: KRW 800,000/month
- Free Korean Language Education (100 hours)
- Paid Research Project Opportunities (Up to KRW 1 million for eligible students)
- Joint Degree Pathway (UOU–UNIST for high-performing candidates)
Note: Support is available for 2 years. If you do not complete your thesis within this time, you are responsible for further costs. Application fees, insurance, and other personal expenses are not covered.
Eligibility Criteria
Language Requirement:
- IELTS 5.5+
- TOEIC 785+
- TOEFL iBT 71+
- CEFR B2 or higher
- TEPS 327+
To get started, students need to upload:
- Birth Certificate (showing nationality of parents)
- Academic Transcript
- Graduation Certificate
